Manjeri Municipality is the headquarters of Eranad Taluk in Malappuram district. Manjeri Municipality is the second largest municipality in Kerala in terms of area. The Kadalundipuzha, which originates from the Cherumbu mountain, which is part of the Western Ghats, flows for a distance of 5 km from Nellikuthu to Pullanchery as the municipal boundary.
