The second phase of the work implemented under the Manjeri Municipality Widening Challenge project has begun. The project involves widening and upgrading the main roads of the city with public participation. In the first phase, the KRS road work was started. In the second phase, the road passing near the Pushpa Hotel is being widened and upgraded. The landowners have not given land at the beginning of the road. Despite constant contact with them, no positive action was taken. All other lands have been obtained. With this, it was decided to start the project using the land obtained. The work was inaugurated by the Honorable Municipality Chairperson V. M. Subaida.

Standing Committee Chairpersons C. Sakkeena, N. K. Khairunnisa, Yashik Mecheri, Councilors Shareena Jawahar, Hussain Mecheri, C.P. Abdul Karim, Abdul Majeed Puthalath, Municipality Asst. Engineer K. Baiju and Overseer Vinod were present. The contractor was instructed to complete the project on time.
